Homemade Beetroot Houmous

To celebrate National Hummus Day we’re giving our hummus a veggie makeover with added roasted beetroot. The perfect topping for a Goodlife falafel pita.



  • 400g tin of chickpeas (drained)
  • 250g cooked beetroot (chopped)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove of garlic (crushed)
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 50ml water
  • salt and pepper to taste



  1. Place all the ingredients in a high-speed food processor and puree until smooth.
